SpareBank 1 SMN is Trøndelag’s largest bank. The bank is known for its many initiatives to wealth creation in the region. Along with, among others, Partners for Innovation and now the UT Project, the basis for economic development nationally and internationally is created. The bank was in 2013 awarded as the best bank in Norwegian by the worldwide financial magazine Euromoney.
BDO is an auditing and consulting company with more than 1,350 employees in offices throughout Norway. Internationally, BDO is present in 152 countries and counts for 60,000 employees. BDO offers services within auditing, accounting, taxes and duties, and counseling. R. Kjeldsberg started its history in 1856 in Trondheim with a grocery store.Since the company expanded with coffee roasting, more shops, a shopping center and a wholesale business. In 1998, R. Kjeldsberg said goodbye to the retail and wholesale business. The year before, they went into Nedre Elvehavn AS. Upon and the remains of the 160 acre TMV area they developed, together with Terje Roll Danielsen and Petter Grendahl – a vibrant city area. A total of 3.5 billion NOK was invested in housing, commerce, culture, offices and parks.
Now the focus is on the Sluppen area in Trondheim. The development of Sluppen and the areas of Tempe / Sorgenfriveien will be very important for the development of the city of Trondheim and the Trondheim region. By developing a vibrant district with a primary focus on international companies in the oil, gas and renewable energy sectors, Trondheim will be able to consolidate its position as the technology capital of Norway.
International companies such as Siemens, GE, Statkraft, Powel, National Oilwell Varco, LBO (Linjebygg Offshore), Evry, Multiconsult, Sense Offshore etc is already established in the Sluppen area. And there will be many more in the years to come.
EGGS Design aims to house Scandinavias widest design competence, with expertise in design of digital and physical products and services. Their approach is people- and business centric – and their measure of success is whether their designs create value for the people using it, and the business offering it.
